Visiting a Nude Beach for the First Time

Nude Beach First Time

Some of you may have considered going to the nude beach, as a “bucket list” item, or maybe you’ve just heard how relaxing it is to get an all-over tan… Maybe you just want to give it a shot to see if it is really for you. It can be a huge step to go from clothed to naked (even though bathing suits do not cover too much, but you get the point!). Regardless of how comfortable you are with your body, baring it all in front of complete strangers might be a big leap to take at once.

The best solution for those who want to try out a clothing-optional beach is to take it slowly.

It is like a warm up before a basketball game and it gives you a feel of how confident you would be when it comes to an actual game time. It is a fine medium between comfort zone and complete unknown, and the best part is, you determine your own limits and comfort level.

Here are a few tips of visiting a nude beach for newbies:

Remember that Nobody Cares!

As much as this seems obvious or blunt, nobody really cares about your imperfect body or your insecurities. They are either too focused on their own insecurities or they are having too much fun to be paying attention to you. Either way, nobody is looking at you. So let your mind free and try to focus only on your own enjoyment and good time.

Relax…

You are there at a nude beach to have fun and enjoy your time alone, with your friends or a partner. So just take a deep breath and understand that you are at the beach, it is sunny and warm, and all you have to do is enjoy your time and soak in every second.

Use Sunscreen!

As silly as it might seem, make sure you bring your sunscreen with you and put it on every area of your body. You do not want it to be the first time you take your top off and you get sunburn since you are not used to putting a sunscreen on certain parts of your body. Plus, walking around with red chest is probably not the most preferred first impression.

Do Not Compare Yourself to Others

We often have a tendency to compare our bodies to others and find imperfections on both sides to make us feel better. Everyone’s body is unique and beautiful so just get that idea of comparing yourself to others out of your head from the jump. Embrace yourself, mind your own business, and just enjoy your time at the nude beach without judgment.

Avoid Posting Pictures on Social Media

Most of us like to take a picture at the beach or a selfie and share it on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat or any other social platform. As cool as it might sound, you might want to think twice before posting a picture of yourself… topless (or nude!). Your boss or your friends might not appreciate that much freedom shared on their timeline. Plus you most likely will not feel the same about it the next day when the euphoria goes away. And… you might also not have the job you had a day before.

Meet New People

The easiest way to make friends is to find people who share common interests as us. You are already at the beach where a lot of people are experiencing something for the first time or at least you have this specific thing in common. Either way, being at a nude beach is a great conversation starter… so get sociable – but don’t be creepy!

So get yourself pumped, put on a big smile, and get ready to be adventurous!
